Hello David, Shawn and I are currently on our honeymoon and still buzzing from an absolutely wonderful wedding day!!

I just had to send you a quick email to say thank you for capturing our special day on video - now I can't even imagine that we were going ahead without having you and your team there. Shawn and I were not the kind of couple who let the planning and expectations of the wedding take over our lives for the months, weeks or even days leading up to the big day and therefore we didn't have huge expectations .... however, we have both said that it was actually the best day of our lives and I'm thrilled to be able to watch the video for years and years to come now - we'll try to relive it all over again with your final product.

Again, a huge thanks to you, Paul and your partner, Brian - the Circus Performer who climbs trees, rides unicycles and hangs from balconies to get the right shot - INCREDIBLE and soooo IMPRESSIVE!!!

We are beyond thrilled with our wedding video!  We have seen many cheesy videos over the years that look staged, pieced together, and....well....fake.   Which is why we didn't have very high expectations for our own wedding video, and initially asked Brian to film with just one camera. However after several months debate, and at Brian's recommendation, we decided to "up" our coverage to three cameras....and are we ever glad we did! 

Watching our video for the first time brought our entire wedding day back for us to relive.  We laughed and cried over the special moments Balance Productions caught of us, our family and our friends, and were equally shocked and thrilled to see what was happening behind the scenes on our big day!  Together with his cameramen, David and Paul, Brian captured the essence of us and our day that we will be able to pass on to our children and grandchildren in a way no other media can.  What a beautiful legacy!"

Hello Brian

Sorry for the delay in writing this message. We just back from our honeymoon last night. I wanted to send you a quick message to thank you for everything that you have done for us...from climbing trees, to getting in the water, to chasing after our limo... we really want to thank you so much for everything. I hope that as much as us, you and your team enjoyed filming our wedding. I have never met someone as dedicated as you to making sure we are happy with the end product...thank you for that and for being easy going and super awesome!

I’m sure the wedding stuff turned out great...we got many compliments on our engagement video and many people we talked to were so moved by how well it was done. If you ever need any references please do not hesitate to give them my contact information as I would be more than happy to tell them about how great and dedicated you and your company is. It was such a pleasure having you around for the most important day of my life and I am certain that we will see each other again...my maid of honour should be getting engaged soon...I hope lol...cuz she was really impressed with everything you guys did for us. David & Brian - We can’t thank you enough for the absolutely amazing wedding video you did for us for our winter wedding that took place on January 30, 2010. We were confident that we wanted a wedding video and very were impressed with your online samples, but after meeting you in person we knew that you were the perfect videographers for us! The passion, knowledge, and creativity you exude speaks for itself.

There are some people who think that it isn’t “necessary” to have a wedding video, but we are confident that they would have a quick change of heart if they ever have the opportunity to see the wedding video you made for us. All of our friends and family who have seen it have been extremely impressed to say the least.

We couldn't believe how steady the camera was during the filming of the horse and carriage ride - both from shots on the carriage and from shots where Brian was literally running after the carriage in the snow to make sure you guys got the best shots possible, now that's dedication! The bottom line is you didn't just throw it together; you spent a lot of time and put a lot of thought into it, and it shows.

You both went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding video captured our memories in the most lovely way that makes us want to keep watching it over and over again. Our winter wedding will never become a fuzzy distant memory because we will always have the wedding video to relive it.

But just as important as the final product was your ability to make us feel extremely comfortable before, during, and after the wedding. Your charm, humour, and professionalism were greatly appreciated by us and all of our family and friends. It was a very easy and enjoyable process.

We were extremely fortunate to find Brian MacKenzie to video our wedding in October of 2006. Both my husband and I had lost several family members since each of our first marriages, so it was incredibly important for us to have a video recording of our family and friends, to be able to remember their voices, hear their well-wishes and see them cry at our ceremony and dance at our reception. It is important to have fabulous photographs, but someone’s voice fades from your memory in time. We have our blessed choir “family” from St. Peter’s Cathedral in London, who sang like angels that day. This group has now disbanded after 20 plus years and we have this recording to cherish. Their voices will forever be a part of our lives even though the people have moved on. There is nothing that can replace a youngster’s giggles, my Dad’s embrace or the sound of my father-in-law kissing my cheek, the trumpet blasts and delicate flute solos, the perfect harmonies of our choir and even our own voices as we recited our wedding vows and made promises to each other for the future.

We had Brian make copies of our DVD and gave them to family and friends as special gifts from us. We have watched our video with our now two-year-old son who recognizes his parents and grandparents in the “movie”. Friends who lived too far to attend our wedding said it was “just like being there in person” when they watched it. Other’s have marvelled or laughed along with our “behind the scenes” antics on our important day. Some sat in awe and cried at the beauty of our candle light procession into the Cathedral.

We were overwhelmed by the professionalism, yet personal touches and humour Brian and his partner, David, added to the final version of our video. The musical additions enhanced our video and the added photo montages of our early years, engagement and honeymoon make it a true Love Story from our beginning until well after our special day. We have spent lots of time watching this and reviewing our favourite clips and explaining them to family and friends. We were delighted with Brian and David’s work at the salon, the groom and bride’s houses, the photo shoot, our ceremony and reception. These guys went above and beyond all of our expectations to make this truly a timeless treasure and precious keepsake. We have used them for our son’s Baptism and intend to hire them for many other family events to come. They are lots of fun, non-intrusive, polite, and professional but, above all, a great pair who gave us a lasting memory of our day that is irreplaceable!

Thanks so much Brian and David! We're going to miss you guys! I'm sure though that we will be seeing you again at future weddings! I really hope that you guys get a lot of business from people seeing our video. I know that everyone that has seen clips of it so far are really impressed and I have had a few people ask us who we used, so we will definitely put in a GREAT word for you guys!

I can't tell you how excited I am to have this video though. I can't believe that we were at one point even considering not having it filmed. It is honestly the best money you could possibly spend on your wedding and now, anytime I hear of anyone getting married that is not planning on having it filmed, I will strongly suggest they reconsider, (and I will suggest you guys! hehe) because I know that we will be watching this for years to come. I am so happy that our kids one day will get to watch our wedding too! You guys are so talented and creative and you really made our entire experience the best it could be.
